The group formed on the 7th June 2014 following on from the original Island History Trust which ceased in 2013.  Since then the Friends Of Island History is now a recognised charity in its own right and continues its extensive work in recording and sharing the History of the Isle of Dogs from the late 19th century to present day. The group manages its aims through a group of dedicated volunteers and maintains projects by mainly donations or funding provided by a growing number of friends,associates and members. 

 As well as collating and categorising photographic and historical data it also aims to expand projects around the isle of Dogs which have historical importance to the groups members or anybody that may have an interest in the islands industrial past.  To register for Membership or to purchase a calendar please contact foiht2014@gmail.com for details.
